Andrew Birkinsha joined SAKG as an associate in August 2020. He focuses his practice in the areas of Transportation and Commercial Litigation
“I became a lawyer because I want to help people. SAKG has a reputation for doing that.”
A native of Kansas City, Andrew has been away since 2009. After spending a couple years in Germany, Andrew has twice attended and graduated from BYU, split by his two years working at Epic in Madison, Wisconsin. While at Law School, Andrew served on the leadership board of the Student Bar Association, the Trial Advocacy Team, the Moot Court Team, worked with the International Center for Law and Religion Studies, and as an editor for the BYU Journal of Public Law. Andrew received the Wendy C. Archibald Meritorious Service Award for his contributions to the law school. Prior to graduation, Andrew clerked with the Utah Attorney General’s Office, worked for a solo practitioner, and interned for a non-profit religious organization in South Africa, and for a manufacturing company in Detroit.
An avid sports fan, Andrew can often be found talking about his favorite teams, watching them, or playing whatever sport the weather allows. Andrew is happy to be home, and loves living in Kansas City with his wife, Alannah, and their two children.
