Gena A. MacKenzie is an associate attorney at SAKG. She represents clients in complex litigation matters, focusing on delivering strategic and results-driven advocacy. Known for her attention to detail, clear communication and problem-solving mindset, Gena is dedicated to achieving favorable outcomes while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism.
About
Before pursuing a legal career, Gena developed a strong foundation in civil litigation by focusing her undergraduate studies in pre-law and working as an Administrative Assistant at SAKG. During law school, Gena honed litigation skills through Creighton’s moot court and trial competition teams. She also served as the Co-President of Creighton’s ADR board for the Werner Institute as well as an executive member for moot court. These roles reinforced her commitment to excellence in trial practice. Gena MacKenzie joined the firm as a summer associate before becoming a full-time attorney. Today, she focuses her practice in the SAKG’s employment, transportation, healthcare and business & commercial practice areas, working closely with clients to navigate complex disputes efficiently and effectively.

- Served on trial team in $11.1 million verdict for mother in wrongful death fire case against landlord for failing to provide adequate smoke alarms and failing to inspect the rental home.
