Rachel M. Smith joined SAKG as an associate in February 2021 after serving as a law clerk for the Honorable Ortrie D. Smith of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri. During her federal clerkship, Rachel managed a diverse civil docket from initial filings through post-trial motions, drafted judicial opinions, and worked closely with Judge Smith through trials, hearings, and conferences. At the firm, Rachel leverages this foundation to contribute thoughtful, thorough advocacy on behalf of clients facing challenging litigation.
Rachel is recognized for her attention to detail, effective communication, and commitment to client relationships.
